May 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Windermere, Florida -- Eposic, a new small press publisher located in central Florida, has released its first speculative fiction anthology, The Book of Exodi, a collection of stories based on the theme of mass exodus. The anthology is now available on Amazon.com.

The Book of Exodi ($16.00, Trade Paperback, illustrated, ISBN: 978-1-936075-00-3) presents 19 stories by 19 different authors from the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan: Harry Turtledove, Ken St. Andre, Lyn McConchie, Stephen Kotowych, Perry P. Perkins, Neal F. Guye, Anita Ensal, N. E. Chenier, Max Gladstone, Christina Lea, Z. S. Adani, Jeffery Scott Sims, Lancer Kind, Bob Brown, Mark Onspaugh, James Hartley, Michael C. Lea, Jennifer Greylyn, and David Michael Elk. Introduction by Harry Turtledove. Poetry and cover art by David L. Eidson. Illustrations by Jeff Freels, Michelle Rose Pedro, Gynn Stella, and Michael K. Eidson. Edited by Michael K. Eidson.

Each story touches on the theme of mass exodus in a different way. In some stories, an exodus is currently underway. In other stories, an exodus is impending, and may even be averted. In a few stories, events are related to an exodus that occurred in the distant past. The reasons for each exodus vary from story to story, as do the speculative fiction genres selected by the authors in telling their tales. Some stories are straight science fiction, some have fantasy elements, others fall somewhere between. Topics addressed in the anthology include: generation ships, faster than light travel, teleportation devices, dying suns and other natural disasters, failing economies, devastating wars, over-population, alien invasions, and extreme prejudice.
