Greenville, SC - Major recording labels are turning to South and North Carolina for new music artists in 2009. An untapped music market has made artists such as Lil Ru, Young Daze, and J.Cole appealing to music moguls like Jay-Z and Collipark. However, one artist refuses to sell himself short and is aiming for a whopping 1 million dollar contract. A dream or reality many may ask, but C.KhiD’s already has half a million music plays under his belt.
"Well, I know how to work the internet. I've worked my own blog site CKhiD.com, myspace, youtube, and soundclick. My single Nike Head did 83,000 plays alone with no cheating or bots involved. If a 50 Cent or Jay-Z record label won't give me a good deal, then I will learn how to monetize my digital downloads and website, until they do," says the brilliant South Carolina music artist.
Born and raised in the Upstate Region of South Carolina, C.KhiD has become the latest internet sensation and heart throb of many young ladies in the United States and abroad. Starting the first Hip-Hop fashion site Sojones.com when he was in high school, his image has become well known on-line. Anyone follow rap trends in fashion probably know or know of the young music artist from his flashy ways. Using the fashion site as a way to promote his music and image, C.KhiD built a steady base of supporters that follow what his steps and style.
"I've just got more of a passion for music creatively. Being very young, I really just went with the flow of money doing something I knew how to do. Its just now, my passion for the arts has taken over and I want to control the image I allow people," says the buzzing internet music sensation.
With over half a million views to his image and music on Youtube, Sound Click, and Myspace, the last talent to have such an easily seen internet presences was perhaps DeAndre Ramone Way, better known as Soujla Boy (or iSoulja Boy now). Receiving over 300,00 plays to his Soundclick Music Station alone since 2007, it seems the dream lifestyle musician is already on his way to helping reset industry standards.
Launching www.CKhiD.com himself in early 2009, C.KhiD is now using his blog website as the new base for his followers. The Carolina Hip-Hop artist says it will be the hub for his music, including 2 mixtapes releasing in June 2009. Entitled "Alpha Dreamer" and "the Youtube Monster", the rapper says the two releases will define his ability in music and get major record labels in tune.
Hoping to start touring this summer, the young emcee is anxious to sprout his wings and take his music to the stage. Meeting other artists before such as Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, and Nelly, he feels inspired by their climb to fame and hopes to do the same. If not partnering with those old acquaintances for a solid contract, then look out for CKHID.COM to become an internationally recognized domain he says to all that dare doubt.
