Jagadguru Kripalu Yog (JKY), USA is organizing a series of large scale Yoga and Meditation programs in ten cities across USA. They will be led by a renowned saint, Swami Mukundananda. These programs will start on May 30th 2009 and continue in ten cities till September 25th 2009. The states/cities that will be covered are: New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Boston, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Sunnyvale, Florida, and New York. A week long program with Yog and meditation sessions will be held in each city. The first part of the session will focus on Yoga & Meditation and the second part will include Devotional Chantings and Spiritual Discourses to purify the mind and soul. Light meals will be served after the session each day.
Yoga is becoming increasingly popular around the world. However, in the name of yoga merely physical exercises are being taught. These are no doubt helpful, but without emphasis on the purification of the mind, their effectiveness in curing physical diseases is limited, and mental diseases remain ignored and untouched.

Swami Mukundananda, who will be conducting the programs, received his degrees in Engineering and Management from two world famous institutes in India- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) respectively. However, the call of God was so strong that a short while after landing a top corporate job, he renounced his professional career to take sanyas, in the quest for God-realization. Since the last two decades, Swamiji has been travelling far and wide in various states of India and also in Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, USA, and Europe, awakening hundreds of thousands of seekers.
