Bedford, NH – JitterGram, Just-in-Time Promotions & Notifications, announced today that the American Defenders of New Hampshire will be launching a social mobile marketing campaign to kick off their 2009 Inaugural Season. The professional baseball team’s first home game is scheduled to take place this Friday, May 29 and their season will go through September.
Formerly the Nashua Pride, the new American Defenders will call Historic Holman Stadium in Nashua, NH their home. During each game, the team will be giving away great money-saving deals via text message. The campaign will allow customers to text in or call a toll free number to receive these exclusive offers to their mobile phone.
Led by an ownership group of former Red Sox General Manager, Dan Duquette; Nokona executives Jerry O’Conner, Buddy Lews and retired Navy Commander Terry Allvord, the team’s mission is the following, “To create and build strong value for our community partner’s while we WIN on and off the field by providing the most unique professional baseball experience possible, infused with fun and distinguished by exceptional customer service.”
Keeping their mission in mind, the American Defenders’ JitterGrams will include food discounts, special deals on team apparel, on-site contests, and more. The team’s social mobile marketing campaign is a permission-based marketing effort. Only those who have subscribed will receive text messages and can be removed at any time.

About the American Defenders: Purchased in 2008, The American Defenders of New Hampshire are a member of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball. From 1998-2008, the team was known as the Nashua Pride. The change of the geographical portion of the team’s name is meant to place less emphasis on the Nashua market and emphasize the globalism of the U.S. military. Former Red Sox first baseman, Brian Daubach, was named the 2009 team manager.
