Necker Island, BVI – Last week on Sir Richard Branson`s Necker Island, two groups of Entrepreneurs - Maverick Business Adventures® (www.MaverickBusinessAdventures.com)
Virgin Unite, Maverick Business Adventures and Centurion Mastermind all have experience creating programs that help teens and young adults start companies. “We know that the best way out of a life of poverty for most of these kids is by learning how to creatively start their own business,” said Yanik Silver of Maverick Business Adventures, who has helped thousands of people start and grow their own companies. “The program developed by Virgin Unite will propel a lot of disadvantaged youth to where they are making money through their own companies, and will empower their peers.”
While helping young people is nothing new, Branson recognizes that in an economic downturn, challenges need to be approached in a different way. “With the help of our partners, Virgin Unite sets out to harness entrepreneurial skills to tackle social problems in the world,” Branson said.
Maverick Business Adventures® is an invitation-only membership exclusively for successful entrepreneurs, CEOs and business owners who want to live life to the fullest, create business breakthroughs and give back through charity and education to empower future entrepreneurs. The group has also partnered with Virgin Unite to create a virtual mentorship program with the Branson School of Entrepreneurship in South Africa, where Maverick members are paired up with students and mentor them on a monthly basis.
