At the bottom of Singleton Park, the boating lake is home to Swan and Dragon pedalos, a children’s play area and crazy golf. Ashleigh Road’s 10-hole golf course is only a short distance away and is ideal for anyone who just wants to enjoy a pitch and a putt.
Further along the Prom is Swansea’s very own outdoor shallow waterpark, Blackpill Lido, complete with paddling pool, children’s play area and climbing rock. The glorious Clyne Gardens are also situated just across the road. The Lido will be open from 23 May until September.
Blackpill Lido is also a staging post for the Swansea Bay Rider, Swansea's very own 72 seater land train which runs back and forth between Blackpill Lido and Southend Gardens, Mumbles. The Bay Rider runs every weekend until 18 July, when it will resume daily operation.
Situated at the end of the prom, Southend Gardens is ideal for families, with its colourful flower garden, children’s play area, crazy golf, and boules area.
Mike Cunningham, Outdoor Leisure Operations Manager, said “With the summer season fast approaching Swansea Prom, with its range of attractions coupled with the spectacular 5 mile stretch of Swansea Bay, is a great destination for visitors and residents of all ages.”
With so much to do, this year an easy-to-use brochure has been produced to highlight the attractions along the prom which will act as a palm sized tour guide.
