Undisputed Kids Foundation, an after school physical fitness activities and mentorship program

May 28, 2009 - PRLog -- When Ted Johnson established UND1SPUTED Downtown, a children's program was not his priority. After the doors opened within one of San Diego’s downtown neighborhoods however, he realized that many children were being exposed to gang violence, impoverishment and drug abuse on a day-to-day basis and thought again about the usefulness of the Undisputed gym.

The lack of after school programs, physical fitness education, and the excitement the new gym was creating within the neighborhood helped to push Ted to realize there was a huge opportunity to make a real difference. The recent launch of the Undisputed Kids Foundation will allow the staff of Undisputed the ability to effectively reach out to San Diego’s local youth.

The Kids Foundation was created to provide kids from economically challenged neighborhoods with after school physical fitness activities and mentorship. Operating out of the Undisputed Training and Fitness Center Downtown, children of all ages participate in various physical fitness programs in a safe and positive environment. The highly-trained professional staff help each child grow in a structured, supportive, highly-disciplined and nurturing atmosphere with programs and activities that prepare them to succeed in all aspects of life.

The Foundation’s mission is to combine the system of mixed martial arts (MMA) and education in a way that promotes a healthy lifestyle, better grades, and breeds confidence and self-esteem in underprivileged children of greater San Diego. Assisting with the logistics and marketing behind operating a successful foundation is San Diego-based Panakos Partners, LLC, a Transition Management Firm.
