And the Alon P. Winnie M.D. Honorary Lecture Award Goes To…

PR Log (Press Release) – May 28, 2009 – (SAN ANTONIO, TX)  – Dannemiller, a leader in providing innovative educational resources for a wide range of medical specialties, honored Dr. John Rowlingson with the Alon P. Winnie M.D. Honorary Lecture Award for Educational Excellence in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management during its annual Anesthesiology Review Course held in Chicago earlier this month.

“I am both honored and humbled to have received an award named for such a prestigious doctor who is viewed as a trailblazer in the practice of anesthesia, regional anesthesia and pain management,” says Dr. Rowlingson. “Dr. Winnie has been an inspiration to so many individuals – not only for his medical contributions, but his fierce determination – instead of focusing on barriers, he focuses on drive – the drive and desire to teach, educate and inspire generations of medical professionals in anesthesiology.”

A professor of anesthesiology and director of acute pain management services at the University of Virginia Health System, Dr. Rowlingson says continuing education will always play a large role in the medical community, believing the more resources offered, the better the patient outcomes.

“Dannemiller has always provided excellent information to thirsty minds,” he explains. “And as recertification becomes more and more crucial, Dannemiller’s methods of teaching prove timely, informative and effective. I’m happy to be a part of their educational process.”
