A presentation highlighting physical therapy and its role in fitness will take place at the August 6th meeting of the AP ( Alley Pond ) Striders, a running and walking club in the eastern Queens/western nassau County area of New York. The talk is scheduled for 8 PM at the Alley Pond Parkhouse on Winchester Boulevard and Union Turnpike.
The featured speaker will be Dr. Vinod Somareddy (DPT) of Reddy-Care Physical Therapy in Great Neck, New York. Reddy-Care is a leading physical therapy practice specializing in manual therapy for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Among Dr. Somareddy's topics will be : what is physical therapy; different kinds of physical therapy; common runners' injuries; and ways to prevent and rehab these injuries.
