Candlewood Suites Hires General Manager

PRLog (Press Release) - May 28, 2009 - Jackson, Miss. – David Christopher has been named general manager for the Candlewood Suites in Flowood, Miss., a property owned by Stone Creek Lodging and managed by MMI Hotel Group. Christopher’s primary responsibilities will be to manage the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals and maintain company standards to achieve guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection.
   Christopher received a bachelor of business administration from Mississippi State University in 1996, and since that time has worked in a variety of capacities in the hospitality industry.  He served as general manager for Staybridge Suites in Ridgeland, Miss., as well as the director of sales at Residence Inn in Jackson, Miss.  He comes to MMI Hotel Group from the Corner Bakery Café in Flowood, Miss., where he worked as area manager to determine staffing needs, develop standards and manage food costs.  
“We are excited to add David to the MMI staff,” said Scott Sledge, regional director of operations for MMI Hotel Group.  “He has a broad knowledge of the hotel industry, and will be integral to bringing the Candlewood experience to our guests.”
   Christopher will begin work at Candlewood Suites on June 8.
MMI is a Jackson-based company, which manages hotel, food and beverage operations across the South.
