The Carvin CS6M has been awarded a Premier Gear Award for the month of June.
The Premier Gear Award is an honor bestowed upon a piece of gear—whether guitar, amp, effect, or other gear— that has been extraordinary enough to impress the staff of Premier Guitar. Despite the high quality of all gear reviewed by Premier Guitar, only exemplary items earn the award. The Carvin CS6M guitar was first introduced in 2008.
“To enhance the tone and allow for an ergonomic smooth neck heel, we extended the set neck deeper into the body – under the neck pickup a total of 5 inches. The tune-o-matic bridge is counter sunk into the body for increased sustain. This is one of the key features that Joe Walsh loves about our Carved Top guitars,” says Mark Kiesel, Vice President of Carvin. “Another important offering is allowing customers to order one of four different bridges. They have their choice of a Tune-O-Matic with strings feeding through the body, a standard stop tail, Wilkinson or Floyd Rose trem systems. This along with our vast selection of woods, colors and options, gives any player the ability to order a true custom and have it in a timely manner.”
“When you pick up the CS6M and play it, you realize how well made this guitar really is,” says Premier Guitar reviewer, Gary Guzman. “I was impressed with the high-quality construction and attention to detail… I honestly couldn’t think of anything I didn’t like about this guitar.” Premier Guitar awarded the CS6M a rating of 5.0, the highest possible rating. “At Premier Guitar we want our reviews to focus on premier instruments and equipment for discerning gearheads, professional players and tone chasers, so we're always on the lookout for the best guitars and gear we can get our hands on,” says Chris Burgess, Editor-in-Chief for Premier Guitar. “Occasionally, our reviewers come across something that positively distinguishes itself from the rest.”
