will perform his self-penned ballad “Champion”
at the Special Olympics Summer Games in Windsor. He will kick-off the games with a performance of his inspirational song during the traditional torch lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on July 23, 2009.
“It will be wonderful to have a talent like Brian Anthony involved in our Special Olympics Games in Windsor,” said President and CEO Glenn MacDonell. “His heartfelt enthusiasm and selfless commitment are extended through his song “Champion”
and even more apparent when you speak to him personally.”
Anthony is a strong advocate for the Special Olympics. He originally wrote “Champion”
for the 2005 Special Olympics Summer Games. He then had the opportunity to shoot the music video for the heartfelt anthem on the Great Wall of China and at the entrance to the Forbidden City during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now, he has enlisted the help of 20th Century Fox’s team of major motion picture editors to incorporate footage of the athletes in the music video that will run during his special performance at the 2009 Special Olympics Summer Games (
