A GM Health and Safety Driving Trainer for more than six years, Mr. Dold has completed the truck driver training program at the Trainco Truck Driving School in Taylor, MI., one of three Trainco schools serving the Detroit, Lansing and Toledo metro areas. The program included completion of six actual job applications, which resulted in five pre-hire job offers, and Mr. Dold has accepted a regional assignment that will have him home on weekends. He attributes the many job offers to Trainco’s excellent reputation among the hiring companies. A top priority of the Trainco schools is securing advance job commitments for students.
Mr. Dold commented that given his professional training background, he was very impressed with the teaching quality at Trainco. He said, “Taylor branch manager Larry Simons and instructors John Blevins and Frank Granica showed great patience and understanding in guiding me through each step that every working truck driver must master to perform effectively on the highway. I am confident that when I start my truck driving career, as I intend to in the fall, everything I learned at Trainco will help me operate as safely as an experienced truck driver.”
By completing the Trainco course, Mr. Dold earned eight Wayne County Community College District continuing education credits through Trainco’s partnership with the college. TRAINCO’s comprehensive truck driving training program fully prepares students for a career in the trucking industry. The program is very affordable for the student, and the demand for qualified truck drivers is such that some hiring companies offer full tuition reimbursement.
