SRCC Alumnus launches a website for Delhi University

May 27, 2009 - PRLog -- An SRCC alumnus, Ravi Jain, with Interactive Media, the creators of three successful professional network portals i.e. CAclubindia.com, Lawyersclubindia.com and MBAclubindia.com, today launched a new portal for the people of Delhi University called www.MyDU.in.

MyDU started with the objective of having a central place for information about everything a person needs to know in Delhi University. In this age of seamless information exchange, its set to redefine the way DU shares information.

Currently, Delhi University does not have a single website that caters to all the demands of the students and faculty. Exchange of information between colleges is totally dependent on word-of-mouth and posters. When a student aspires to be a part of DU and lands in Delhi with so much of hope and determination, everything sets on fire the first month itself. Where to go, whom to ask, what to do and more confusion, and then finding anything becomes a pain. There is no single place where they can find all the required information. There is no place where any student can raise his voice or speak out and be heard. There is no medium for a student to interact with teachers of other colleges. There is no platform which makes sure that lack of information does not become a reason.

This is essentially what MyDU.in intends to plug. A platform for youth interaction, an endeavour to get the famed alumni of Delhi University together on a single platform. It seeks to bridge the division between the north campus, south campus and other colleges.  The website will keep the students updated about the events and happenings in and around the campus thus opening up a plethora of opportunities to exploit.

The website incorporates the following information-

•   Downloads (Syllabus, Cut-Offs, Question Papers, Notes, etc.)
•   Internships/Jobs
•   Raise Your Voice
•   Admissions and Exam related queries
•   Discussion Forum
•   And a huge array of other interactive tools

“Having studied at the Delhi University I know the problems I faced as a student. I saw the loopholes and I wanted to plug them. So here I am doing it. Hope this brings about a positive change in Delhi University and helps it become one of the best universities of the world”, says a much jubilant Ravi Jain, alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, who conceptualized the entire platform, after successfully launching the website.
