TESCRA, a US headquartered, global systems integration provider has launched its rural-sourcing initiative that aims to generate employment in rural USA and help its customers cut costs by delivering services from low cost regions of the US. This initiative is initially targeted at delivering IT systems support and maintenance services and will soon be expanded to provide end-to-end services delivered remotely.
With this program, TESCRA will bring its customers extensive cost reductions while keep the jobs here in the USA. As a test run, TESCRA intends to establish a 30 member pilot team that will deliver IT testing services. However, plans are afoot to establish regional delivery centers, close to its customer locations. Says Manoj Gupta, President and COO of TESCRA – "We want to help reduce service delivery costs for our customers. While off shoring is always an option, we also want to provide alternative and innovative ways to reduce costs. Through our rural-sourcing program, we will keep the jobs here in the United States, our work will be governed by US laws, but at the same time, we will achieve cost benefits that we will pass on to our customers."
With its first pilot, TESCRA intends to help bring over 30% reduction in IT costs compared to traditional ‘onsite’ delivery costs, without any work sent outside the United States.
