Howl Gallery And Level Nightclub Bring Tattoo Art To Fort Myers Night Life

May 25, 2009 - PRLog -- HOWL Gallery/Tattoo and Level Nightclub in Downtown Fort Myers have teamed up to present a new permanent art addition to the River District club scene.  Level will be home to over a dozen paintings by HOWL Gallery co-owner and tattoo artist Andy Howl.  The paintings will feature classic Americana inspired tattoo imagery, painted in metallic hues in the artist’s pop art style, and range in size from 2' to 6' tall.  The first of the set will be unveiled during the Don Ed Hardy Fashion Show hosted by Level Saturday May 30th.  One of the paintings will be raffled off to a lucky attendee during the event.  Additional paintings will be added before Levels next event, Pink & Green Party, on June 12th.  All of the paintings will be for sale and range in price from $200 to $2000.  Sold work will be replaced by new pieces from the series.

Fort Myers resident artist Andy Howl currently has a solo show entitled "Retro Pop" at HOWL Gallery featuring his comic book inspired imagery.  The solo show at HOWL runs until June 17th with a Art Walk Reception on June 5th.

Level is located on Hendry Street in Downtown Fort Myers, across from the Downtown House of Pizza and Club Neo.  HOWL Gallery is located next to Starbucks and Hotel Indigo on Broadway.

HOWL Gallery is a new hybrid art gallery that features the very best local and national contemporary artists, and mixes in pop culture such as graphic novels and designer art toys with a custom tattoo studio.  The gallery rotates art shows monthly and participates in the Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk on the 1st Friday of each month.  Gallery openings are held on 3rd Saturdays from 7-10pm.
