The hurricane season in Florida runs from the beginning of June to the end of November with mid August to mid October being the peak season. No point in the state is more than 80 miles away from either the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico.Since 1990, Florida has been seen 22 tropical storms and hurricanes... if you are going to Florida you MUST be prepared!
