MIAMI, FLORIDA – April 25, 2009 - The Top Class family joined the “green movement” held at Bayfront Park on Saturday April 25th, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. The event included 80 vendors, family activities, and live entertainment. One of the sponsors was Power 96 who had a live stage with music and performances. The whole event was free and meant to educate the community about being “green”.
The event operated on 100% alternative fuel with solar-power and bio-diesel generators. Recycling stations throughout the park manned by the “Green Team” helped educate visitors on how to properly recycle and dispose of their waste. In addition to traditional recycling, there were also Tech-Recycling stations that collected unused tech items such as old batteries, cell phones, computers and monitors.
The “going green” event was a great experience for the entire family and very educational. Vendors showed all the many ways you can make your life friendlier for the earth. People are not always aware on how to correctly recycle and this event showed the best ways to do that.
