Nearly half of the India’s travel agents have seen their sales increase in spite of the economic slowdown, a new survey has revealed.
The marketing survey conducted by Maria Deep Tour and Travel CO and Worldways India Travel Company has revealed that 570 of the1000 agencies with 5 to 10 employees have seen their sales increase by up to19%..
Pradeep Parashar Managing Director /CEO said: "The recession seems to have “NO IMPACT” in the market.
Some multi National Companies have affected that have swapped to low cost alternatives or by the loss the corporate client. The majority of retailers are clearly benefitting from worldwide recession period Mr. Parashar said.
Parashar said: "In spite of the recession the number of foreign tourists in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Varanasi are very healthy showing that the travellers who love India as a foreign travel is as strong as ever,” he said
