May 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Los Angeles -- Los Angeles photographer, Linnea Lenkus, pays tribute to military families in her exhibit, “Images from the Homefront,” which will be on display at Forest Lawn’s Memorial Day event on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 10:00am. The exhibit features portraits of several Southern California military families who have had a family member deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan, many on multiple deployments.

The fine art photographer in partnership with the military non-profit organization Operation Homefront created the exhibit to visually tell the stories of military families in time of war.  Most families were selected through Operation Homefront which provides emergency assistance and morale boosting programs to military families and wounded warriors.  Lenkus worked to capture the emotional side of the impact of war on military families in several of the studio portraits which are made up of military men and women, their spouses and children.
