By: Michelle Shortencarrier The fine art photographer in partnership with the military non-profit organization Operation Homefront created the exhibit to visually tell the stories of military families in time of war. Most families were selected through Operation Homefront which provides emergency assistance and morale boosting programs to military families and wounded warriors. Lenkus worked to capture the emotional side of the impact of war on military families in several of the studio portraits which are made up of military men and women, their spouses and children. What: “Images From the Homefront Portrait Exhibit” When: Monday, May 25, 2009 (Memorial Day) @ 10:00am Where: Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, Forecourt of the Birth of Liberty Lenkus donated over $30,000 in time and production for the “Images from the Homefront” exhibit and provided portrait packages to each family.
