ATLANTA – Solar Velocity’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Burkey today announced the creation of the East Metro Career Transition Group, an organization that will provide support and networking opportunities for individuals in employment transition.
Through the group’s networking events and monthly meetings, those in career transition can learn valuable job-seeking skills from employers and individuals who have recently navigated their own employment transitions. “We recognize that it is easy to get discouraged in the current environment, but this group will provide our neighbors in career transition with the encouragement and resources they need to secure exciting and rewarding new jobs,” Scott explains.
The group is open to professionals in the east Atlanta metro area who are interested in sharing leads, information, and resources. The first meeting of 2009 will be held on June 3 at Rockdale Baptist Church at 7 AM.
