PRLog (Press Release) - May 20, 2009 -
KarmaDharma Radio with Suzanne continues its podcast series on Yaktivate.com, a podcast network.  Suzanne Toro, host of the show and author of Bare Naked Bliss, celebrates the summer sun of June by shining light on inspiring artists and agents of change.  Week one, Toro interviews hip hop artist Apl.de.Ap, of the Black Eyed Peas.  Week two brings “Be The Cause’s” Sukh Chugh into the limelight.  Week three, Toro’s interview with Tamsin Smith of Project Red draws out her love for humanity and her vision for her new company, SlipStreamStrategy – turning good ideas into realities that matter.  And at the end of June, Toro checks in from Costa Rica where she’s meeting activists in local communities to discuss social, economic, and environmental sustainability.  KarmaDharma Radio can be found on www.LifestyleYak.com, one of the many podcasting channels on Yaktivate.com.

Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas talks about his former home, the Philippines, and his commitment to giving back to his homeland through education, history and environment.  Apl is a Filipino American hip hop musician and record producer who is the oldest of seven children.  Toro’s interview with Apl highlights his compassion for his homeland and his gratitude for the life he has been able to live in the U.S.  He has founded a non-profit that annually gifts his home community to benefit poor children, and he continues to tell his story artistically in his music, both as a solo-artist and together with the Peas.

Week two Toro talks about Sukh Chugh, founder of Be the Cause, about how to be the cause by being in service.  Recently he took a service vacation to an Indian reservation and shares the story to compel others to work in service.  Toro shares Chugh’s story about his organization’s roots and how he discovered a life of harmony by following Gandhi’s advice, “happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”  Find out more at bethecause.org.

During week three, Toro draws out Tamsin Smith’s love for humanity, her vision for Project Red and her new company, SlipStreamStrategy.  SlipStreamStrategy works with philanthropists, corporate executives, international organizations, non-profits and innovative thinkers to form creative coalitions - all with the purpose to help solve society’s collective challenges. Smith founded the company in early 2009 with the vision of helping good people turn good ideas into realities that matter to the world.

Lastly, KarmaDharma Radio host Toro checks in from Costa Rica, during one of her frequent visits, as she marvels at the sustainable ways in which many communities exist there.  Toro highlights social, economic and environmental sustainability models with community members as a way to share their wisdom with a broader audience for the benefit of our planet.

Each week, host Toro also invites listeners to implement small progressive steps in their daily lives in the "call to action" section of the show.  In this way, she helps listeners actively build on what inspires them to feel the joy of living a life of passion and purpose.  Tune in each week to begin to discover how you can dive into your own Bare Naked Bliss.
