San Jose, California – GenX Mobile, Inc. introduced today a new version of its GNX-10 Global Location Unit. The GNX-10 is an economical yet robust wireless fleet tracking unit. The next generation GNX-10 includes new features and enhancements and incorporates leading edge technology to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace.
The next generation GNX-10 now includes full support for Garmin FMI version 2.0. Version 2.0 enables real-time navigation, two-way messaging and job dispatch capabilities to improve mobile asset visibility and efficiency. The GenX Mobile implementation includes store and forward capability to ensure delivery of messages and data when the Garmin device is disconnected, powered off or removed from the mobile asset.
The next generation GNX-10 now includes SuperSense GPS Technology. SuperSense GPS Technology provides faster GPS signal acquisition time and improves GPS performance and signal strength in areas where GPS signals are impeded due to an obstructed view of orbiting GPS satellites.
The next generation GNX-10 now includes 1-wire interface capability to support multiple 1-wire compatible peripherals. 1-wire compatible peripherals include Temperature Sensors, iButton for Driver ID, and other applications.
In addition to previous capabilities the next generation GNX-10 enhancements include a second serial port to support additional peripherals, CE Mark and RoHS compliance to meet EU requirements and Telus certification to support CDMA wireless communication in Canada.
