NEUAURA Footwear Announces Sustainable, Environmentally Friendly Manufacturing

PR Log (Press Release) – May 19, 2009 – New York, NY — NEUAURA footwear has announced their commitment to the environment by incorporating eco-friendly manufacturing into their product development and production lines.

Based in New York, NEUAURA focuses on maintaining their commitment to providing consumers with high quality, high fashion, eco-friendly, vegan footwear. The brand strives to be a step above its competition through its strong environmentally friendly production standards, creating styles for women that are fresh, fun and fashionable, while remaining animal friendly and creating the least amount of impact on the environment as possible through recycling and responsible manufacturing practices.

Arti Upadhyay, founder of the NEUAURA brand name, stresses that animal friendly does not always mean eco-friendly. Noting a distinct need for footwear falling into both categories, Upadhyay set out to fill this void in the market when she launched NEUAURA.

“NEUAURA footwear is conscious of both the protection of animals as well as the environment, and we are proud to have aligned ourselves with a factory that shares the same core values,” states Upadhyay.

Situated in the mountains of Brazil, NEUAURA’s manufacturing facility creates the NEUAURA brand of footwear using business practices that have the least amount of impact on the environment as possible, such as using locally sourced materials to save on transportation and fuel. The Brazilian Technological Institute for Leather, Shoes and Accessories has awarded the factory a “Green Seal” in recognition of its laudable work in some very key areas, including recycling and disposing all the material waste generated from the factory at a recycling facility located in the vicinity; using water-based adhesives and less toxic solvents and chemicals that are safer for the environment; advocating recycling, as well as the protection and preservation of endangered animals to their surrounding communities; and sponsoring a habitat that protects endangered species native to the area.

Further promoting their commitment to responsible business practices, NEUAURA is also dedicated to humanity by giving back to the community. The company donates 10 percent of their online sales to various causes. Every season, two charities are chosen to receive donations. For Spring 2009, the chosen charities are Keep a Child Alive, an organization providing antiviral treatment, support and services to children and families suffering from HIV/AIDS in Africa; and the Humane Society of the United States.
