Nickelodeon's ParentsConnect, the online resource for parenting advice and community, is allowing parents to pick the best of their local communities with its Second Annual Parents' Picks Awards. All Parents' Picks businesses are nominated based on recommendations from ParentsConnect local city editors who live and work in the cities they cover, in conjunction with feedback from the ParentsConnect community. Users' votes and rankings ultimately determine which venues are selected as winners in their respective categories.
Aiming to stay true to the name, Glimpses of Soul Photography holds on-location sessions for children and families, taking time to get to know, play and interact with clients of all ages. This often means afternoons of tag, jumping in puddles, blowing bubbles and eating ice cream for the younger ones. “I rarely leave a session without a request for a future playdate,” said Mandy Dwyer, owner and photographer at Glimpses of Soul Photography. “I have a vast circle of friends under the age of three and I love it!” The result is a gallery of vividly colored images that frequently bring parents to tears.
Despite her flip-flopped feet and laid back demeanor, Dwyer takes her business very seriously, personally guiding each client through the portrait process, starting with what to wear and ending with what to hang on the walls. The custom attention is all part of the Glimpses of Soul Photography experience and something that sets the company apart.
Dwyer is honored that her business has impacted clients in such a positive way and looks forward to continuing to serve as one of Minnesota's premier child and family photographers.
