Chris Pierce’s new album, Live at the Hotel Café was recorded in the summer of 2008 during his weekly residency at the venue.  It is collaboration between an artist with a mesmerizing live show and a premier and intimate venue in Los Angeles.  Hotel Café has played host to several of Los Angeles’s troubadours (Sara Bareilles, Meiko, Greg Laswell, Joshua Radin) as well as to the fame inherent in the city (Weezer, Tim Robbins, Slash, Cypress Hill, Pete Townshend, Bonnie Raitt), and national touring acts (Rufus Wainwright, Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Horses, Devotchka) all in a room meant for just under 200 persons.

Chris Pierce is often described as an old soul with fresh music and is often compared to greats like Bill Withers, Al Green and Otis Redding.  "I work really hard at making my music something that will stay with people, I want the listener to feel the emotion when they hear my music, I believe if you are good to the music, the music will be good to you," says Pierce.
