Menopause Remedies DVD Released to Help Couples with a Menopause Mood Swing

Portland, OR - Menopause remedies DVD called “Blitzed by Menopause” and its companion playbook, “Fair Play During Menopause” gives funny, lighthearted and professional advice to help couples deal with a menopause mood swing and more.  Released by Planet Sweet Pea, actress/producer Jan Brehm and husband/co-producer Ron Grant, the DVD was inspired by the couples own struggles with Jan’s menopause symptoms and her search for menopause remedies (http://www.planetsweetpea.com).

About 4,000 women are entering menopause every day according to the North American Menopause Society.  Its symptoms can be both baffling and overwhelming to women when they start to appear.  As baffling as the symptoms may be to the women who may be experiencing them, they can be equally baffling and confusing for a spouse or significant other.

A menopause mood swing can be one of the most difficult menopause symptoms to understand and relieve.  Jan’s husband Ron, with all good intentions to help Jan during a mood swing, did it all wrong.  Desperate to maintain and grow her relationship with Ron and save her sanity Jan decided it was time to take matters into her own hands.

“There’s not a lot of education out there for men on how to cope with what their wife is going through,” says Jan. “Men have a natural tendency to want to fix things, but menopause just isn’t “fixable” in that way.  Many husbands report they just don’t know the right thing to say that will make things better and not worse. Often they say nothing leaving their wife feeling isolated or abandoned.”

Of more than 423 books published on the subject of menopause, only three or four are directed towards men.  None are geared towards couples and there were no DVDs until Jan got the idea for “Blitzed by Menopause”.

“Guys might not read a book about a menopause, but they will usually sit down with their wife and watch a DVD, especially if it’s funny.  We also brought in top professionals to provide the most up-to-date information for menopause remedies,” explains Jan.
