Simon has more than 20-years experience working for Rothmans and British American Tobacco in Marketing, Account Management and laterly Senior General Management roles and specialises in Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Relocation, Relocation policy, Expense Control, Supply chain, Personal effects logistics, Rental search, Real estate purchase, COL & reward Management.
During his career in the tobacco industry he has had the fortune to work in more than 20 countries, lived in 9 across 3 continents, and has experienced relocating himself and his family numerous times.
As trained Arabist, a considerable amount of my time was spent in the Middle East and East Africa in a number of roles with both Rothmans and BAT. Immediately after his Arabic scholarship, his rookie posting was to Sales Management in South Yemen, which was followed by Account Management in East Africa and Country Management in both the GCC & Levant regions. His final Tobacco Industry challenge was to lead BAT's ambitious market entry initiative into the Swedish market, which contributed to the PLC's Board decision to purchase the Scandinavian Tobacco Company in 2008.
Now with his own Relocation Company in the South of Spain, he uses this extensive International experience to support others in their ventures overseas. Simon says "I have a deep understanding of personal needs and levels of complexity in every relocation."
Marina Robertson heads the Russian-speaking client base. She was born and raised in Abkhazia, Georgia and started her International journey after joining the United Nations in 1994.
Marina worked and lived in Africa, Central America, Europe and Middle East, and managed the procurement function attached to UN peace-keeping forces for over 12 years. She has a natural flare for languages and extensive experience in managing and working with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
As a relocation consultant for Del Sol Packaged, Marina is using her knowledge of an expatriate life as well as her organizational talents and linguistic skills in managing the challenges that come with International moves.
