Details about our ‘LoadmaX’ system for weight control engineers can be found on our new website: http://www.loadmax.co.uk. The information provided is rather more comprehensive than previously available through our main company website, http://www.pinsol.com that also describes the various components in our MatriX software suite; these cover a range of functions dealing with ERP, engineering project management, supply chain management and quality assurance.
LoadmaX is a weight control system / mass management facility used to record items with dry / operating weights and center of gravity coordinates. Items can be assigned to any number of load cases with their dry or operating condition and the system reports the total weight and overall CoG for any load case. Various features are provided such as the provision of extra percentage weight contingency allowances for each discipline that can be set according to the source of information for each item’s weight. Data entry facilities are designed to minimize mistakes and to make operation fast and efficient. Extra benefits may be seen if the system is used in conjunction with a drawing material takeoff system such as the MatriX suite’s QuantimaX module as this ensures all drawing items are accounted and data entry time is reduced.
The LoadmaX system is designed primarily for application on engineering and construction projects associated with offshore platforms and rigs although the concepts will be relevant for any situation where weight and center of gravity must be evaluated and reported. For example, lift weights and center of gravity must be known for the lift analysis and sizing of slings, lifting frames and cranes hence LoadmaX may be relevant for any containers, skids or modules as well as overall structures or vessels.
