As part of their ‘Offer of the Week’ campaign launched to promote the diverse languages of the world, Eton Institute announced that they would be offering a 25% discount on their Farsi Beginners course this week.
Why learn Farsi? For 72 million reasons; the sizeable population that speaks the language. Farsi or Persian is the official language of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Dr. Eli Abi Rached, Managing Director of Eton Institute commented: “Farsi is a widely spoken language in both corporate and social circles. With over 400,000 speakers just in the U.A.E. learning the language has become more important than ever in order to communicate effectively.”
Until a few centuries back Farsi was the most prominent of Eastern languages being the predominant medium of governance, history, science and literature in the Indian sub-continent, the Middle-East and Central Asia. An ancient language, dating back to 6th century BC, Farsi continues to draw people to its beauty and mysticism.
With a single word often having various meanings, it is a language rich with expression having many layers and immense depth; a language which allows poets and writers to beautifully capture their thoughts which are often too intangible and abstract to be expressed.
The Farsi Beginners Course starts on 2 June. It will be conducted twice a week on Sundays and Tuesdays from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The last date to register is 28 May and places are limited. Call 800-eton (800-3866) today to secure your place or log on to www.eton.ac for more information.
