Manchester, UK - Codework Ltd announce the release of BrowseControl Version3.3 with enhanced scheduling capabilities and the ability to enforce policies on off-site systems.
BrowseControl helps restrict inappropriate surfing and enforce Internet usage policies in an organisation. The software can completely block internet, allow access only to Web sites specified, deny web access to the websites specified, and schedule internet ON at certain times of day. E-mail, FTP sites, Instant Messaging, ICQ and Newsgroups can also be restricted.
In addition to restricting internet activity BrowseControl includes an Application Blocker, which allows users to specify software applications they want to block from running. This can be useful in preventing users from using games, messaging programs, P2P applications or any unauthorised software.
Following the release of version 3.3, BrowseControl now addresses other areas of internet restriction. In particular the new features address off-site internet access and an enhanced scheduler.
