Detroit-based small business consulting firm, Strategic Growth Concepts, announces the winners of its first annual ‘Small Business Marketing Plan Give-a-way Contest’ held in support of the U.S. Small Business Administration’
Winners of the contest include:

The contest’s Grand Prize winner will receive a Strategic Marketing Plan for her business prepared by Strategic Growth Concepts; the plan is valued at $8,500. Each Secondary Prize winner will receive two hours of small business consulting from Strategic Growth Concepts valued at $470 per winner.
Small business owners were able to enter the contest via Strategic’s website at www.StrategicGrowthConcepts.com where they completed an online entry form including essays about their business and why a Marketing Plan would be of benefit to their firm. Contest entries were accepted thru April 30th.
Strategic Growth Concepts established the contest as part of its corporate mission “to encourage the development of small business firms as a means of economic re-development in our communities, and as a method of gaining individual financial security for potential and existing small business owners” according to the firm’s CEO/Managing Consultant, Linda Daichendt. Daichendt further adds, “We felt that National Small Business Week was the perfect opportunity for us to develop a program to aid a number of small businesses while bringing attention to the importance of small businesses in today’s economy”. According to the SBA, small businesses account for over 70% of new jobs in the United States and approximately two-thirds of workers get their first jobs in small firms; thus small firms train much of the United States work force. Given the level of impact of small businesses in the U.S., Strategic’s management views their continued development and expansion as critical to the country’s economic recovery, and hopes to contribute to that economic recovery in a small way by assisting the winners of this contest in growing their businesses.
