May 17, 2009 - PRLog -- “It’s a fact, our eating habits and lifestyles change after the marriage,” says fitness expert Suzanne Andrews. “We cook to please our mates and we cook to manage our families. The foods that we cook and eat are not always the best for healthy choices and as a result the average weight gain after the first year of marriage is 10 pounds.”

A report by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that during the past 20 years there has been a dramatic increase in obesity in the United States. The lack of physical activity and emotional eating are among the common causes of obesity*. *Poor dieting causes weight gain. Eating excessive pasta, bread and sugar contribute to inflammation in the body. "Obesity is also on the rise  in children, single adults and couples and continues to escalate a faster pace after marriage.  Weight gain and aging don’t have to be joined in holy matrimony,” explains Suzanne. “You didn’t vow to love your handles, ‘till death do us part’.   Perhaps it’s time for you to keep the spouse but divorce the six inch love handles that snug around your waist line. Stop the “buts” and get rid of the excess baggage you’ve been lugging around.”
