Free Reliability Prediction Tool Released

ALD Reliability Software decided to create a “little brother” of its comprehensive Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Toolkit called RAM Commander and release a free reliability prediction tool.
 
May 17, 2009 - PRLog -- ALD Reliability Software decided to create a “little brother” of its comprehensive Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety Toolkit called RAM Commander and release a free reliability prediction tool.

The new tool encapsulates reliability prediction functionality of RAM Commander and is called “MTBF Calculator”.

It supports all the reliability prediction standards for electronic and mechanical equipment which are supported by the RAM Commander – MIL-217, Siemens Norm, FIDES, Telcordia, Bellcore and more. These methods contain reliability prediction models for reliability prediction (MTBF and failure rate calculation) of different types of slectronic and mechanical components (memory chips, processors, capacitors, resistors etc.).

Our tool implement al these modules for more than 20 prediction standards and allows component reliability data input (type, package, resistance etc.) and performs MTBF calculation.

The new tool is provided free of charge. It was released last week and is available for free download for everybody from the ALD website: http://www.aldservice.com/en/reliability-software/free-mt... . Installation and usage instructions are also available.
