Periwinkle Rose Wins for Kids in Sleep Country Pajama Bowl
Snohomish, Wash. — Periwinkle Rose raised $2,765 for foster kids in Sleep Country’s fourth annual Pajama Bowl held Sunday, April 19th at Acme Bowl in Tukwila. Coming first out of almost 100 teams, Periwinkle Rose earned 6,035 points tabulated in a calculation combining the amount of money that the team received in sponsorship, their combined bowling score, as well as extra points for bowling in pajamas. In all, the event raised more than $75,000 to be given to foster care partner organizations.
One hundred percent of Periwinkle Rose’s donation will go to Treehouse (www.treehouse4kids.org)
“We appreciate all the support that our customers gave us by helping us exceed our sponsorship goals,” said Periwinkle Rose founder, Jennifer Bush. “We’re always saying that our pajama pants are comfort wear for everyday activities, and we can now add bowling to the list.” Periwinkle Rose has entered a team every year since the Pajama Bowl’s conception in 2005 and placed 4th last year.
This year’s team included five-year-old, Alyssa Garcia, wearing a pair from the company’s new playwear line. “The Pajama Bowl has become very special to our company,” added Bush. “The real winners here are the kids.” In addition to its participation in the event, Periwinkle Rose donated gift bags containing sleepmasks, gift cards, Big Dipper Wax Works travel candles and laundry samples to help recognize other participants.
