Don’t Let Household Cleaners Hurt Your Family

Our health is put into danger on a daily basis by using caustic chemicals that are present in many household cleaners. Green Cleaning: Save Your Money, Save Your Health, Save The Earth by Cynthia Kimball will show you how to clean your home safely.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)May 15, 2009 – Every day we clean our homes with products we trust. Why do we trust them? We bought them from the store and they do clean well, so over the years a bond of trust was built. The problem is – many of these products include chemicals that are affecting the health of our families.

Chemicals:
While far too many to list, here are some of the chemicals included in household cleaners and their dangers:

Ammonia or Ammonium Hydroxide:  is corrosive, extremely irritable to eyes, skin and respiratory passages. Most window cleaners use it. If mixed with the wrong chemicals (like bleach), it can produce a fume that can kill.

Formaldehyde: a highly toxic, known carcinogen that preserves the dead. Imagine what it is doing to our living tissue.

Hydrochloric acid: a corrosive, eye and skin irritant, damages kidneys, liver and the digestive tract.

Linear Alkylate Sulfonate: a common additive in detergents is absorbed through the skin and is a known liver damaging agent.

Sodium Tripolyphosphate: irritates skin and mucous membranes, causes vomiting. Easily absorbed through the skin from clothes (and this is used in laundry room products!).

Clean Green:
So, how de we get away from using such toxic chemicals in our homes? Clean Green. It is easy, it is safe, and it is a lot less expensive. Using a base of baking soda and white-distilled vinegar, you can clean most of your home. More than likely, those two products are already sitting in your pantry.

For more ways to clean your home greenly, Dragons’ Realm Publishing is pleased to present the book Green Cleaning: Save Your Money, Save Your Health, Save The Earth by Cynthia Kimball.
