One-of-a-Kind Signed and Designed Dinner Plates by Celebrities on eBay now

PRLog (Press Release) - May 15, 2009 - Halifax, Nova Scotia –More than 40 celebrities have designed/signed plates to be auctioned on eBay to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s.

Plates from the legendary Eartha Kitt and daytime television star Rachael Ray will be available for bidding until Sunday May 17, 2009.  Criss Angel & Holly Madison, Alan Alda, Serena Ryder, Jordin Sparks, Kevin Sorbo, Paul Brandt, Johnny Depp, Sandra Lee, Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken will also be available until Sunday.

Celebrities are asked to draw a tulip, the Society’s symbol of hope.  

Parkinson’s affects more than 1.2 million people in Canada and the United States. There is no known cause or cure for the condition, although extensive research is currently underway. Symptoms include difficulty walking, weakness of voice, and tremors.

Funds raised through Plates for Parkinson’s ® help The Parkinson Society Maritime Region ease the burden and find a cure for Parkinson’s through support services, education, research and advocacy.
