Starlight Children's Foundation is pleased to announce that Mike Brown has been appointed to the Florida Advisory Council for the nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.
"Mike has been a tireless supporter of Starlight, and since our mission is very close to his heart, we are confident that he will present Starlight impeccably to the public," said Jim Norton of the Advisory Council. "On a personal level, I've seen Mike interact with kids and he has a way of making each child feel like they are the only person in the room. That ability is something that will be an asset to Starlight as we seek to expand our Florida base." A central Florida native, Brown has taken a special interest in giving back to his community.
"The work of Starlight Children’s Foundation is simply amazing," said Brown. "It is a privilege to be able to represent an organization whose work has changed the lives of so many children. I am proud to represent Starlight and their mission, but especially to participate in their amazing programs."
