With Calendar Browser V6 resources are described and booked inside Outlook. Each resource has its own calendar, and to book a resource the user simply makes an appointment in the calendar of that resource. Both public folders and mailboxes can be used.
Version 6 of Calendar Browser has a much improved Overview. Here the users get a summary of the resource bookings for the nearest future, and he can also see what supplies are ordered for each booking. It is also possible to see images of the resources and to book then from inside the Overview.
The resources can be described in two ways: HTML and URL. A WYSIWYG editor assists in creating the HTML descriptions. Projects are easily color coded and can also be set to mandatory when booking.
Long term usage of the resources can be studied with the integrated statistics tool, OLAP Reporting Tool. With this tool, managers can create and generate reports and graphs that will give the information needed to constantly adapt and improve services.
