May 15, 2009-Deer Park, Il. Brilliant Sky Toys & Books® is launching a stealth cross-promotional campaign towards shoppers with neighboring retailers and restaurants. The effort, designed to offer non-competing incentives and support for local businesses during this most difficult economic period, grew out of obvious steady declines in shopper traffic.

“The idea started with a conversation and resulting coupon sharing program we developed with Kids Hair, and the Aveda Salon,” said Patty Parcheta, co-owner of the store. “We share a similar demographic, but we all provide different services and products. It makes brilliant business sense to create power partnerships with each other to stretch and cooperatively pool our resources to get customers to our parking lot.”

Discounts offered at one store for purchases at another, bag stuffing materials relating to events and promotions, and inter-store promotions are just some of the examples of this effort headed up by Brilliant Sky Toys & Books®.
