Author Joan Ellen Gage debuts her blog, waterrunningdownhill.blogspot.com as the new medium to reach her boomer audience. You may have read Gage's en"gage"ing book, Water Running Downhill! Words of Empowerment for Women in Midlife, or seen her on youtube in a video (check out "Eight in Dog Years", it is outrageous!).
"Reaching out to my readers by blog seemed to be the right move in this social networking/blogging world we live in", Gage offers. "In these techno times, there is no better way to get out these upbeat messages to women".
So Gage is reaching out with positive insights, her signature wacky humor, photography, and poetry. "I try to combine a few different products with each blog", Gage adds, "I want each entry to be attractive to the eye as well as thought provoking".
A "late-bloomer"
And Gage did just that, publishing her very personal thoughts in an unusual combination of poetry and photography. "It is a different kind of women's book", Gage laughs. "It is my "child" and I had to bring it into the world--and I am expecting again"!
Yes, this "hip chick" will be bringing more wit our way. I for one are anticipating this "baby", and hoping that the second book will be as funny and inspiring as the first.
