This unique loan program is a “cash” based loan program as opposed to an asset-based program. Accordingly, a “cash” contribution of 1-10% of the Loan amount, or first tranche, is required to facilitate the loan. The preferred collateral is a Certificate of Deposit placed in a top 50 World Bank.
The CD allows IFT to fund against the collateralized CD, while the money remains in the client’s name, in an interest bearing account. It is 100% insured against loss not only by IFT, but also a top 25 World Bank.
