One of the UK’s leading conference groups has chosen Warwick for its new headquarters.
Keen to find a well serviced, central location for its headquarters, Conference Centres of Excellence (CCE) has moved into offices at the the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre.
The company, previously located in Dorking, Surrey, is the UK's largest consortium of specialist conference providers, most of which are residential.
CCE currently has 37 members, including many of the country’s best known venues for conferences, meeting and training events, each of which provides a communications environment with dedicated facilities and highly experienced staff.
Between them CCE’s members provide more than 3,600 beds across the country.
Anthony Lishman, CCE’s Executive Director, said: “We looked at several possibilities, but the Innovation Centre provided the ideal solution.
“It provides a contemporary and prestigious working location that reflects the image we want to project, with excellent facilities and staff who are helpful and supportive.”
The Gallows Hill venue will be the new base for all CCE’s administrative and sales activities, including its Hotline venue-finding service, which provides conference organisers with a one-stop-shop access to its member venues.
It also provides information on facilities, arranging visits, obtaining quotes and helping to develop agreements.
John Barnes, the University of Warwick Science Park’s Innovation Centre manager, said: “We are delighted that CCE has chosen to relocate here.
“It’s further evidence of the status of the park as an attractive proposition for national organisations.
“The Innovation Centre has developed a good reputation as a premier location for firms to do business and we are sure CCE will enjoy a long and successful period here.”
