Darmstadt– despite growing security threats, many enterprises have lowered investments in IT security because of the difficult economic situation. Even though SECUDE’s current solution already provides simple rollout and maintenance mechanisms, the new web-based authentication mechanism virtually reduces implementation costs to zero because it doesn’t require any client software to be deployed, providing unprecedented flexibility and extremely short implementation times.
SECUDE’s Secure Single Sign-On for SAP NetWeaver enables companies to encrypt all traffic between SAP client and SAP servers and additionally offer users a unique Unified Single Sign-On experience that greatly enhances productivity and lowers helpdesk costs. Many of SECUDE’s customers have deployed our client software because of its high return on investment (ROI). However the currently difficult economic situation is forcing companies to make even smarter investment decisions whiling keeping an eye on IT security threats.
Fast implementation without client-rollout
SECUDE’s new web-based authentication addresses exactly those requirements. Contrary to conventional authentication solutions, the new edition doesn’t require any software components on the client to be installed, thus it not only eliminates the rollout costs completely, but also greatly reduces the implementation time compared to thick-client based solutions.
Despite the significant advantages the new web-based authentication provides, it offers all the features of SECUDE’s regular solution and additionally provides support for following Operating Systems: Windows, MAC OS X, Linux and UNIX, providing seamless encryption and Single Sign-On through the corporate network. It also provides flexible user authentication including Active Directory, RSA SecurID, SAP UME, LDAP, RADIUS and JAAS.
