Soft As A Grape named official licensee of NHL apparel
WAREHAM, MA, ISSUED MAY 13, 2009….Soft As A Grape, the region’s leading designer and retailer offering original clothing for men, women and children, announces that it has received a license to sell official National Hockey League (NHL) apparel for the women’s and children’s market.
The agreement allows the Wareham-based clothing designers and distributors to market NHL® apparel for women’s, girls, boys, in addition to maternity tops and plus size women’s garments.
The line of official NHL apparel for women, girls and boys will be available at Soft As A Grape stores this spring, according to company President Allen Katzen, noting that this most recent retail licensing agreement coincides with the company’s fourth year as an official licensee for Major League Baseball (MLB) to create and sell clothing for the women’s and children’s market.
“Our line of clothing has been so well-received that it opened up this opportunity to work with the National Hockey League,” said Katzen.
In addition to marketing its NHL line at its stores in Massachusetts and Florida, Soft As A Grape is also authorized to sell the apparel at all 30 NHL teams along with both large and small retailers throughout the country.
Known for producing the majority of its products domestically and specializing in rapid turnaround and shipping, Soft As A Grape is also widely recognized for its winning print designs.

In addition to its designation as an official licensee for Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Hockey League (NHL), Soft As A Grape is an official licensee for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) for women’s and children’s products.
