May 13, 2009 – Volk Corporation has been named exclusive distributor by Safety Step LLC, Australia for their newly patented Adverstep stair nosing. The Adverstep stair nosing is a multipurpose system in one product which allows NBA and NHL sports franchises to generate advertising revenue from signage on the face of the arena steps. In addition this unique product prevents slips and falls and serves as a fail safe emergency egress system in the event of fire or arena blackout. Adverstep incorporates anti-slip strips and photoluminescent technology on the step surface. The anti-slip strips provide arena patrons with added traction and the yellow photoluminescent strip clearly delineates the edge of the step in both light and dark conditions. The photoluminescent strip will glow in the dark for 8-10 hours after the lights go out. The graphic panel down the face of the step, with fast change out capability, provides a new professional looking medium for team sponsors to deliver their marketing message up close and personal to arena patrons.
