Extended Paper Range at theprintspace

PRLog (Press Release) - May 13, 2009 - As of May'09, theprintspace has added three new papers to its inkjet portfolio: Hahnemuhle German Etching, Harman Gloss FB, and Warmtone Gloss FB.

German Etching. 310 gsm. This heavyweight etching board is velvety smooth with a fine surface texture. German Etching is one of the most popular media worldwide for artwork and photography. Harman Gloss Warmtone. 320 gsm. A fibre based paper, which gives creamy whites & velvety black, with an Alumina coating ensuring a high degree of glossiness, optical image density and vibrancy. The Baryta layer gives the prints greater detail and definition as well as the look and feel of real photographic paper. Beautiful creamy whites and velvety blacks give a true range of tones for black and white printing. Harman Gloss FB. 320 gsm. This paper has a lovely feel and gives a great quality to images. The Baryta layer produces greater detail and definition, an extended tonal range and excellent archival properties.

After careful consideration and extensive research, theprintspace’s imaging experts concluded that Harman Gloss gives better results than Epson Gloss (previously offered in-house). This is why theprintspace is changing their standard gloss option from Premium Epson Gloss to Harman Gloss FB.

Dave Lucken, operations director at theprintspace, explains that the main motivation behind this extension was to increase theprintspace’s offering of fine art papers, “the new Giclee range gives photographers a greater array of choice from their papers, and allows them to choose from the most appropriate inkjet paper for their shot”. This leads to better results, and better images.
