Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Southern Hills was formed on September 18, 2007. The club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. at Podnah’s on Mansfield Road. The Southern Hills Kiwanis Club completes volunteer work through several various service projects. One quarterly project is Operation Support Our Troops which packs and ships boxes of supplies to be sent overseas to U.S. troops in Afghanistan. The club also contributes to the Walk for Education by donating fruit and water for the participants. Another project was planting flowers and plants in Kiwanis Park at Safety Town.
