Scheduled for June 29 - July 10, 2009 at Tennessee Temple University - Chattanooga, TN, the school's faculty consists of Southern Gospel notables who bring many years of experience, tremendous energy, and a deep love for music.
Slated to teach are:
C. Nelson Bailey-Director of Instruction who is also music teacher, song writer; Michelle Bailey-voice & piano teacher; Jack Clark-writer, arranger,
teacher of piano and music; Kathy Duren-accomplished pianist and accompanist;
voice; Jane Knight-daughter of Charles McCoy is a long time convention singer and piano teacher; Dr. Bill Knowles-Chair Tennessee Temple Music Dept;
Gary Martin – Gary has been teaching music for almost 30 years; Eugene McCammon-public school music teacher, church organist and choir director,
songwriter, music editor, music typographer, and more than twenty years as an instructor in summer music schools; Joel Singleton-choral director at Eastside
High School Covington, Ga.; Nicole Wasendorf -summer music schools, private piano instructor; Jody White-music minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madisonville, Tenn.

SGMSA helps students more fully develop and appreciate their musical abilities; to be able to read, sing, and love music. Private lessons will be offered in acoustic guitar, bass guitar, piano, songwriting, and voice. Some of the areas of instruction are: Sight reading, Ear Training, Music Theory, Conducting/ Directing, Syllables/Solfege, Songwriting, Teacher Training, Vocal Training, and Harmony.
SGMSA uses the shape-note system of music and wants its students to
enjoy music thru learning more about it.
