TARBORO, N.C. – Heritage Hospital is hosting a free community forum about chronic heartburn on Saturday, May 30 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the Heritage Hospital classroom. Residents from Tarboro and surrounding areas are invited to attend the forum, where a dedicated team of specialists from the hospital’s new Heartburn Treatment Center will explore chronic heartburn and treatment options.
“Heartburn can be painful, and if allowed to continue can lead to serious health complications,”
Since opening its doors in March 2009, Heritage Hospital’s Heartburn Treatment Center has provided comprehensive, patient-centered care for diagnosing and treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), the main cause of frequent heartburn. More than 60 million American adults experience heartburn or acid reflux at least once a month, and more than 20 million suffer daily. The goal of the center is to help those suffering from GERD understand the disease and options available to them, from diagnostic testing to treatment.
